The idea of the project started in 2017, when I spent a year living alone in LA. It was my first time to live in a different country on my own. I felt excited and scared almost at the same time. In the first three months, my English wasn't that good. And what's more, I'm an introvert. I felt that I was afraid of talking to people even though I knew I had to. After went through some dark nights with myself. I knew I need to convince myself the unknown is not scary. I had to figure out a way to fit into the environment. So I started to grab every opportunity to meet people and talk to them. It turned out that meeting those beautiful people became great memories in my mind. And I learned a lot from those people.
I came back to Taiwan in 2018. I knew it's time to make a short film. This animation is a milestone for me. It reminds me that I have to be brave enough to embrace different environments. The unknown is not frightening. It would be a beautiful thing if you are brave enough to experience everything in life. No matter good or bad.
